Wedding Planning Help – Everything in One Place

Welcome to our video series of the top 20 questions brides ask when planning their wedding.  One of the questions I regularly get is “I’m getting married, and I don’t know what to do.  Please help!”

If you prefer to read while watching the video above, below is the transcript:

Some people love planning a party—-or in our case, a wedding.  Other people do not.  Some brides and grooms love researching all the wedding options.  Others do not.

Some couple’s love reading wedding planning books and figuring things out.  Others do not.  Some people love making lists, getting things done and checking off their lists.  Others do not.  Some couple’s love planning their wedding theme, choosing their colors, and figuring out how to pull it together into a fabulous wedding.  Others do not.

Let’s face it.  About HALF (49% to be exact) of the brides and grooms we’ve polled don’t like planning their wedding.  49% find the wedding planning process a negative experience in some way—from the 19% that find it stressful through to the 4% who say it is a horrible experience.  The Wedding Planning Institute of Canada states that it takes an average of 250 hours to successfully plan a wedding.  Do you have the time and know how to do it?

So what do you do when ‘you don’t know what to do’ to get your wedding organized, and you really don’t have the time or energy to research all your wedding options and figure out what you want?  Well, that is the time to find some help—whether that help is your neighbour who married off her three daughters and knows all about weddings, or a family friend who has experience in event planning and weddings, or maybe a girlfriend who has just gotten married and is available to help you.  And today through the internet, you can get very effective and wonderful help through wedding planning coaches.  Just google “wedding planning coaching” and you might discover what might be the perfect solution for you.

A wedding planning coach helps you figure out what you want, and coaches you in how to go about doing it with a step by step plan.  You get the satisfaction of doing it yourself, but you have someone to talk over all your wedding plans with, and someone to answer your many questions.  A bridal coach will advise you on what needs to be done, and keeps you on-track with the timeline YOU have chosen.  With on-line bridal coaching, you will have all your options in one place, and your coach can guide you through those options.

Ideally speaking, you should have someone who has experience with event or wedding planning and who enjoys it and you can talk things over with.  Don’t even think about doing this all by yourself.  You need a helping hand.  Planning a wedding is not that hard, but there are a lot of details that you might not even be aware of—and having someone who knows weddings is the right kind of help.

Good luck, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
